Third Hand Smoke
Third-hand smoke can lead to exposure to potent carcinogens, according to a study published in a recent issue of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. Third-hand smoke is the old residue of smoke that sticks to surfaces in a home, office or car where smoking is permitted.
Kamlesh Asotra, MPhil, PhD, with the California Tobacco-Related Disease Research Program at the University of California in Oakland, discussed the study at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
