Business First reports: McGuire takes Amherst medical site smoke free

For the first time ever, McGuire Development Co. has made one of its buildings totally smoke free.

But, others in the company’s portfolio may soon follow suit.

Amherst approves ban on smoking on town property

Amherst Town Board has adopted a resolution that would ban smoking on town property. The designation forbids all smoking within town buildings and within 25 feet of the town’s public entranceways, windows and ventilation areas around the building. The resolution was co- sponsored by Council Member Guy Marlette and Supervisor Barry Weinstein.
